As Nordic Category Manager at Scalepoint, you’ll be a key player in executing our Procurement Strategy, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and driving value through strategic sourcing. You will join a small but high-class team consisting of another Category Manager and Head of Procurement. We are looking for a proactive and strategic new colleague with experience in procurement. If you are a team player who thrives in an innovative environment and is passionate about sourcing, negotiation, and category management, this could be your next exciting challenge!
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Sourcing: Fundamental knowledge within strategic sourcing and experience in driving sourcing initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: The ability to navigate and manage expectations and demands from key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Negotiation Master: Great experience in closing supplier contracts and maintaining long-lasting supplier relations.
- Market knowledge: Knowledge of the Danish retail market and comfortable speaking and writing in Danish and English. It is not a demand, but definitely to your advantage, if you have experience working across the Nordic region and/or in Switzerland and Germany - Even better if you possess language skills in Norwegian and/or German.
- Presentations and communication: Experienced in presentation and possess strong communication skills.
- Staying up to date: Used to proactively seek information on trends and tendencies.
- Mindset: Self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a “can-do” attitude.
What to dive into
As Nordic Category Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping our procurement strategy and driving value through innovative sourcing. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Create and implement sourcing activities according to the sourcing plan.
- Plan and deliver on yearly sourcing initiatives within your categories, ensuring the best possible supplier coverage.
- Leading supplier contract negotiations within your categories.
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align sourcing processes with business needs and to maintain supplier relations.
- Translating claims data into actionable strategies towards suppliers.
- Closely monitor the retail market online and offline, market behavior and trends and ensure that these are reflected in our network of suppliers.
- Ensure the highest possible degree of product match and best business case in close collaboration with relevant internal departments e.g. Customer Success and Data Management.
- Continuously improving category management processes and driving innovation.
